In light of what Moffat said in his latest interview about the likelihood of Moriarty returning for Series 3, I thought it might be worthwhile to dig all the “is Jim dead or alive” questions out of my inbox. Sure, Moffat didn’t explicitly say Jim was dead. But considering what he did say, I think it’s for the best if we take this opportunity to wipe the slate clean. At least that way I won’t still be answering backlogged questions on the subject weeks after we’ve gotten this new information.
