I’ve just been searching around and no-one’s really covered it anon!
When the earpiece was brought up early on, it was just considered to be a production goof and not an actual ‘theory’. There’s a few theories around of ‘John Watson was in on it’ so it could have been brought up in conjunction with one of those. I haven’t seen a singular theory however.
But, I could be wrong. If anyone knows of one, please link us to it through our submissions!
